There are some good books, but overall it does not give you the perspective of 30,000 feet, or a program in reality. The best thing to do, what you said about the specific investments: residential, multifamily, retail, office, rent land, part of a tic, an investment team, investment, or the source of unique. Then know your market, in which you want to invest. Meet those who can influence or support your area of investment: urban planners, neighborhood associations, etc. There are many things to do, but you have to decided what we get done.
